Privacy Notice
Last updated September 30, 2026
This notice explains what information Florida HCAP (floridahcap.com), operated by Ruvos, keeps about the people who use it, and why.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, the organization your account belongs to, and, for administrators, whether an authenticator app is set up. Passwords are handled by Amazon Cognito and are never visible to Ruvos.
- Work you create: scenarios and other planning content saved by your organization.
- Security and service logs: requests to the service (including IP address and browser details) and errors. We use these to keep the service secure, investigate problems, and report usage to the organizations we work for.
- Map queries: areas you draw on the map are sent to a Ruvos population service to calculate estimates. They are not linked to your identity.
Florida HCAP is not designed to hold patient information. Please don't enter any. The health data you see in Florida HCAP is published public data, not data about individual patients.
Cookies and browser storage
We use only what is needed to sign you in: a session cookie, the sign-in session your browser keeps for Amazon Cognito, and, for administrators, a cookie that remembers the "view as" selection. There are no advertising or third-party analytics trackers.
Who we share it with
We don't sell personal information. Florida HCAP runs on Amazon Web Services in the United States (us-east-1), and AWS processes data on Ruvos's behalf. Otherwise we share information only with the organization your account belongs to, or where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Account details are kept while your account is active and removed when your organization asks us to close it. Security and service logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting. Your organization's saved work is kept for as long as the service agreement requires.
